I’ve been a Democrat all my life me, was a Bernie delegate in 2016 and saw first hand the neoliberal side of the current Dems who literally stole the nomination from Bernie — and not in a good way. The same thing happened in 2020– Bernie was dominating the primaries and Obama stepped in to have the other candidates fall out and support Biden.
The neoliberals in both parties have screwed the people of our nation without any regrets… and their complacency served up Mr T.

I’m older than you and I remember what the world was like before neoliberalism and Reagan, it didn’t only happen in the US, it infected politics and economics everywhere. The world was more hopeful, there was more opportunity for everyone, we still had the philosophy from the 60s of peace and love. The 80s were horrible, everyone out for themselves, and that’s what we still have, people are productive or disposable, the state is ruthless. Wealth is not so ostentatious, the non billionaire wealthy no longer wear obvious designer labels on their clothes for instance though they are worth far more now than they were then. Personally, I hate it and can’t wait for the inevitable correction I see coming. I am a human being, not an economic unit. Everything extracted from the soil belongs to the people, not someone who has funded votes. Climate change will never be addressed with these people in charge, we may as well not exist for them.
This really needed a thorough proofread and more inspired writing before posting. “if your online” is not how you start a paragraph. I gave quite a few passes on lack of passion before reading that. Deal breaker.
yeah, it's an issue. I'm what Leo Sayer would call a one man band. Some of my pieces get written at midnight some at 1 am. It all depends on when the spirit moves me to say something. But it's a fair criticism. Upon rereading, I think the point came through though.
Carville is a toxic shill. I’m surprised I made it through four paragraphs as well. You seemed to focus on the grammatical error I found and skipped over the important part: lack of inspiration. If you think that is “unimportant” when it comes to writing, you shouldn’t have a problem with the AI generated articles that the future will be full of.
You sound like you want a gold star for “finding a grammatical error,” which is pretty easy with Corbin’s writing. I have pointed out quite a few to him, but I have done it privately as constructive criticism instead of as a personal attack.
I rarely make grammatical errors, but I lack his vision. I lack his ability to see the big picture. I lack his ability to choose the perfect analogy to help people understand what is happening to our country. I lack his ability to remain calm and collected while being attacked by both Democrats and Republicans. I lack his endless desire to learn more about an issue so that he can explain it to others.
By all means, if it makes you feel superior to point out an error, go ahead. I saw what time you posted your attack, and I get it. I am usually pretty grumpy that early, too. Maybe have a cup of coffee before reading Substacks.
