Good morning all,
It’s very hard to take on entrenched power. The entrenched power that doesn’t want us to have a national health care system, entrenched power that doesn’t want us to have a national banking system, that doesn’t want to see an economy that generates wealth for all Americans instead of a group of about 11,000 centimillionaires and billionaires.
Part of that ability comes from having the tools needed. If you’ve been following this newsletter for very long, then you know that A Fight Worth Having has been working on putting together our arsenal. I’m proud to tell you that because of your support over the last two years and the help of an amazing team, we’ve been able to put together a polling system that’s going to help us find and show truth more easily.
This happened after I asked a pollster to test whether Democrats wanted Hakeem Jeffries as Speaker of the House. They refused to do it. So I decided that we had to have the ability in-house, so that we could ask any question to anybody that we wanted and didn’t have gatekeepers. You see, gatekeepers are the ones that protect people with power.
Last night, we launched polling in 35 House, Senate, and governor’s races across the country! 35! We conducted 26,607 interviews between October 20th and 23rd, everywhere from Kansas to Florida to Michigan and states and districts in between. We asked about current races. We asked about people’s favorability. But most importantly, we set a flag in the ground for this election cycle to see how our polls perform against the results and against the establishment.
You can see all the results here
Some of the most interesting findings were in the crosstabs, like they always are, which means in the details. In Michigan, for example, Abdul El-Sayed has substantial support from the African American electorate: about 83% to 11% in our poll. I’m sure that’s no small part due to the effort of Barack Obama and Kamala Harris and all the other Black leaders that have gone to Michigan to make sure that voters know who Abdul El-Sayed is. Point is, it seems to be working. (Michigan poll · the finding)
Another thing we found requires that you keep in mind that we were polling in swing states and districts. We were polling in Kansas, Montana, Florida, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania. What some people around here might call God’s country. And even with this fairly conservative-leaning group of states and districts, or at least what people might call moderate, Donald Trump’s approval rating is well underwater: about 43% approve, 55% disapprove. And Democrats were running strong. Abdul El-Sayed was up around five points. Angie Nixon was within about seven, running close to Jolly with more than a week to go. So who knows? (Florida poll · all 18 findings)
Anyway, there’s a whole lot in here. And if you’re interested in polling and data, and if you’re a nerd like me, I hope you’ll take a look. If you’re not, just have a look at the main page where you can see all the results.
First and foremost, I want to thank every single person who has subscribed to this free newsletter, that has donated to A Fight Worth Having, and that has helped keep this operation going long enough for this to happen. You’re awesome. And to everyone who’s been reading this and sharing this and commenting and replying, thank you too.
I really feel like we’re at a transformational moment. I look to Brazil and see that Lula was able to push off Bolsonaro. I see Serbia where students are rising up and reclaiming their government. I see America poised to push back against the tyranny of the status quo. And I could not be more hopeful. It doesn’t mean it’s a given, because by God it’s not. But we’re on the path. If we stand together and we stand up for a handful of solutions and we decide to take this country back, I feel confident that we’re building a handful of the tools that are going to be helpful in that mission.
This week, we’re also going to be launching ads in two districts: California 34, which is LA, and California 7, the Sacramento area. In those districts, you have Angela Gonzales-Torres and Mai Vang, candidates running on platforms like Medicare for All, a living wage, ending the genocide in Gaza, reining in ICE and other sensible policies, against a pair of status quo Democrats.
If you want to help, we can always use it. Click here to donate to A Fight Worth Having. And if you can’t give right now, forward this to one person who should see these numbers.
Otherwise, we’ll see you in the next newsletter.

Excellent! Thanks for this. Relatively small sampling, though....
Thank you for all that you're doing, Corbin!
